Breakfasts are served in the Dining Room between 8am and 9am, and are cooked to order, so we ask if you can pre-order your main course the day before, as many of our ingredients as possible are sourced locally.

Please help yourself to fruit and fruit juice, cereals, toast and preserves. If you’d like porridge just ask.

‘From the kitchen’

Please choose your main course from the following:
  • The full Northumbrian – bacon, award winning sausage, black pudding, tomato, mushrooms and local free range egg (cooked your way)
  • The lighter one – toasted English muffin with bacon, poached egg and balsamic roasted cherry tomatoes
  • Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs – Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled free range eggs
  • Kippers – from the world famous Craster smoke house, served with brown bread fingers and lemon
  • Something different – cinnamon French toast, bacon and maple syrup
  • The vegetarian – vegetarian sausage, baked beans, tomato, mushrooms and local free range egg (cooked your way)
We offer filtered coffee and a selection of teas and herbal teas.
